This is the End User License Agreement for the Reallusion Importer for Houdini. By downloading, installing, or using the asset, you agree to these terms.
Plain-language tl;dr
(The full terms below govern.) You get a single-user license to use the asset on machines you control, for your own personal and commercial projects. Renders and output you create are yours, royalty-free. Your purchase includes all future updates to this product. You may not redistribute, resell, share, or reverse-engineer the black-boxed asset. It's provided as-is with no warranty, and you're responsible for your own SideFX license compliance and for the rights to any character content you process.
Reallusion Importer for Houdini — End User License Agreement

This License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you (the "User") and [tonehammer] ("Author") for the Houdini Digital Asset known as "Reallusion Importer for Houdini" and any accompanying files, documentation, and resources (collectively, the "Asset").
By downloading, installing, or using the Asset, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not download, install, or use the Asset.
1. License Grant
The Author grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Asset on machines under your control, for your own commercial or personal projects, subject to the terms below. One purchase covers a single individual user.
2. Permitted Use
You may:
- Use the Asset to import, shade, and render characters in your own personal or commercial projects.
- Use renders, images, animations, and other final output created with the Asset freely, including commercially, with no royalty owed to the Author.
- Install the Asset on multiple machines that you personally own or control.
3. Restrictions
You may not:
- Redistribute, resell, sublicense, rent, lease, lend, or share the Asset itself, in whole or in part, whether modified or unmodified.
- Decompile, reverse-engineer, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to extract, recreate, or derive the source code or internal logic of the Asset. The Asset is distributed as a black-boxed Houdini Digital Asset; attempting to defeat that protection is a breach of this Agreement.
- Make the Asset, or any part of it, available on any public or private repository, marketplace, file-sharing service, or other distribution channel.
- Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, attribution, or proprietary notices contained in or accompanying the Asset.
4. Houdini License Compliance
The Asset is built with and distributed as a Houdini Indie ("limited commercial") Digital Asset (.hdalc). You are solely responsible for ensuring your own use of Houdini and of this Asset complies with SideFX's licensing terms. Loading a limited-commercial Asset into a commercial Houdini session may affect that session under SideFX's rules; the Author is not responsible for your compliance with SideFX licensing.
5. Third-Party Content
The Asset processes characters and textures exported from Character Creator, iClone, and related Reallusion products. You are responsible for holding the appropriate rights and licenses to any character, texture, motion, or other content you process with the Asset. The Author claims no ownership of, and accepts no responsibility for, the content you import. "Character Creator," "iClone," and "Reallusion" are trademarks of their respective owners; this Asset is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Reallusion or SideFX.
6. No Warranty
THE ASSET IS PROVIDED "AS IS," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. THE AUTHOR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE ASSET WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, OPERATE WITHOUT INTERRUPTION, OR BE FREE OF ERRORS.
7. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR PRODUCTION DELAYS) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE ASSET, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. YOUR SOLE REMEDY IS TO STOP USING THE ASSET.
8. Support and Updates
Your purchase includes all future updates to this product at no additional cost — when a new version of the Asset is released, you are entitled to download and use it under this same Agreement. The timing, scope, and content of any update remain at the Author's sole discretion; this Agreement does not promise any particular feature, fix, upgrade schedule, or support response. Support beyond updates is provided as a courtesy at the Author's discretion.
9. Termination
This Agreement is effective until terminated. It terminates automatically if you breach any of its terms. On termination, you must stop using the Asset and delete all copies in your possession.
10. Entire Agreement
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and the Author regarding the Asset and supersedes any prior agreements or understandings.
